At Raulston Acres, we take great pride in our trees! We want you to choose that special tree that is just right for you! All our trees are planted by hand, and great care is taken to give our customers quality tree stock from which to choose. Choose from a variety of trees including Murray Cypress, Blue Ice Cypress, and Virginia Pine - all are grown with care.
We also offer premium freshly cut Frasier Furs.
Prices vary throughout the farm but generally on farm grown trees you can expect to spend around $7.50 foot, making an average 6' tree about $45.
We DO have freshly cut Frasier Furs, which are in high demand, Expect to pay about $10.50 per foot, making an average 6' tree $65. Larger Frasier Furs Trees are more expensive per foot.
Tips for choosing a Christmas Tree…
Before you go, be sure to pick out a good location to place it. Make sure it is away from a heat source - especially a fireplace. Also, consider how much height can you handle? You need at least a foot between the top of your tree and your ceiling.
When you visit us, select your tree and cut it as close to the ground as you can. (Or we can cut it for you.) We’ll shake it out for you, getting rid of any debris that could end up on your floor, wrap it up and make it ready for the trip home.
When you get home, take a handsaw and cut about an inch from it's base, which makes it easier for water to be absorbed - that helps keeps the tree greener longer.
Keep your tree green by placing it in a good sturdy stand that holds about a gallon and half of water. Keep plenty of water in the base, because when the base dries, your tree starts to die.
Finally, when you decorate the tree, be safety conscious and use only properly inspected lighting.
Christmas wreaths add to the holiday fun!
Our Fraser firs and farm grown tree 'trimmings' make great wreaths and our staff takes great care in making them.
We make fresh wreaths that are decorated with bows or left open for your own decorations!
We also have other items for sale in our gift shop. From tree stands to Christmas decorations, you'll enjoy hot chocolate, along with some unique items to build memories that last all year. Our gift shop is open the same hours as the farm. We’ve even got ole time apple cider in a bottle!
